I have been working at Papyrus

    Pros

Great quality of people, customers and overall environment.

    Cons

A little bit of a learning curve because the customers that you deal with are different than your usual customers in other retail stores.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

More focus on training the newest people the first 2 weeks of employment.

    Application Details

I applied in-person. The process took 6 daysinterviewed at Papyrus in September 2014.

    Interview Details

I saw the job opening on the mall's website and emailed the manager my resume and cover letter. I got a call 4 days after. She asked that I come in for an interview two days later. The questions were very simple, such as 'tell me about yourself', 'what experience do you have that could help you in this position?', 'what is your availability?', 'what do you expect to gain from this company?', 'how much are you expecting for an hourly wage?' The interview was extremely casual, we sat outside in front of the store.

She asked what I wanted an hour and I said "I researched a little about the job and because it is a high end card store in a high end mall, I'm asking for $10 an hour." She said that's exactly what she starts new employees at and she then offered me the job and asked when I could start.
