I worked at Parago full-time for more than 5 years

Great work environment with great co-workers. Pay is competitive and company pays quarterly bonuses if company budget numbers are met. Opportunity for advancement is available, but gernerally speaking, since many posistion have been filled for sometime, turn-over at this company is very low.

The management style mostly. Too little communication when needed to complete projects.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Be more involved with your employees. Stop by, say 'Hi'. Check in to see how the day is going, work load progressing, address any issues or problems. Biggest complaint I had was management style was a little 'distant'. I don't want to be micro-managed, nor am I making that suggestion. But I think it's important to maintain rapport and 'face time' to check in with your employees on job performance, pace, and continuing education, cross-training and introduction to new technologies the company is moving to or considering for future.

I applied through other source. The process took 3 weeks - interviewed at Parago in September 2013.

    Interview Details

The CMO actually approached me on LinkedIn, I didn't know about parago at all. He called me for an interview, knowing full well that I'm a copywriter by trade and put me in a marketing management position as a middle-man between the account side and creative side to help them get along. I had two interviews and was hired.

    Interview Questions
    • Questions regarding my understanding of the project management side of things, because I'd never been on that side and they honestly were my mortal enemies in the past because I was a creative.   View Answer
    Negotiation Details
I didn't negotiate as much as I wish now that I had and could have, but I was so happy by the amount and benefits they in the first place, I didn't feel the need.
