I have been working at Parker University full-time (More than 8 years)
Great vacation benefits. Ok to Nice office space. Beautiful campus.
Expensive and poor health insurance; prices going up up up, and value going down. Spouse not covered if they may take insurance from their employer. Vision insurance practically non-existent. Dental so limited as to be of little value.
Advice to Management
Quit firing your experienced workers; you never get a win that way. Stop micro-managing. Stop reacting to everything as if it were an emergency and the end of the world. Try planning ahead. "Focus" on your official projects and quit treating each idea-de-jour as if it matters. Finish what you start. It's going to take longer than you expect. Quit trying to make a "win", and get the dirty work done first: the training, the maintenance; the upgrades, the training and the training. Learn to use the word "No".
