I have been working at Parkview Medical Center

    Pros

This is a smaller hospital, so it has a family type feeling, so you won't feel like your lost and just another number, other staff and management will know who you are.
Management is pretty approachable about issues and concerns, which is not common at most healthcare facilities.

    Cons

Pay is horrible at this place, the hospital can be a lot more competitive if they want to. This is very disappointing, that they take care of their upper management financially and but no where near being competitive with the working class. Most people are aware of management getting yearly bonuses each year, give at least some of that to the working class.
Turn-Over is High with nursing staff.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Increase pay and be competitive, this is choice from the company that is doable its just if you want to do it.
This place focuses on extreme physician satisfactory, they speak, everybody jumps. Focus more on patient satisfactory. Patient satisfactory comes from how happy nurses are. There is a high turnover rate which can be avoided. Research needs to be done on staff retention and focus on that more than physician satisfactory. This in turn will save the hospital money in the long run.

The staff was professional, personal, and knowledgeable. They had the patience to listen, and the kindness to offer frank, useful, constructive criticism. It became transparent this would be a quality place to work and meet great people. They followed through on their commitments, and exhibited integrity and thoroughness. They conducted a series of well-prepared pre-screenings to make sure there is a good fit.
