I have been working at Perkins Eastman full-time (more than 3 years)

The firm is committed to improving, which is very encouraging. On the other hand there is resistance to this commitment because of what feels like a lack of engagement from some of the employees. But overall the firm is investing and promoting a stronger design culture, training opportunities for the employees, better technical support. Some of the leadership offers great opportunities for personal growth and encourage younger staff to take ownership, while others are more controlling and guarded.

Some of the above comments mention cons. Occasional lack of communication between leadership can be frustrating. Internal culture for seemingly little things such as recycling is pretty weak.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Providing some additional perks/rewards for good performance, leadership could help promote engagement. A more active but informal mentorship program could help with that too.

I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 weeksinterviewed at Perkins Eastman in October 2014.

    Interview Details

The interview was set up by a former colleague who was hired by Perkins Eastman several months prior. He reached out to me and asked if I would be interested in interviewing for a position they were trying to fill. I accepted and was given a tour of the firm before the interview even began. The interview itself seemed more explanatory than anything else and they were quick to verbally offer the position to me.
