The compensation, benefits, and work-life balance aspects were good. It's a global company with many resources and experts. The people are dedicated and engaged. There was opportunity to grow within the department.Cons
The company did not have a strong vision or strategy. With a single business unit, there were 2 relocations (meaning 3 different locations) over the course of only 6 years, and then the business was closed down completely. It's an indication of how the company focused on the wrong thing, i.e. cost-cutting efforts versus addressing the weakness in the core business.
The company also did not have a strong process in place to identify additional opportunities outside of the immediate department for their top talent.Advice to ManagementAdvice
