    I worked at Piercing Pagoda

    Pros

You get a very flexible schedule. I loved working with the tourists, this was the highlight of my job. I get to met a lot of different people. I loved doing ear piercing. When the Orlando Magic players came around, my manager pierced a lot of their ears. It was very cool to meet the Orlando Magic players! That was awesome! My in store management was wonderful! She was the best manager that I ever had! My manager would work around all circumstances to accommodate all customers and all of our staff. She always set the bar for our store. She was a model employee, who dedicated her life to Piercing Pagoda. My manager would always turn my frown upside down. If anyone had a bad day, she would do all that she could to turn it around. I would work with her again, any day! We all worked together as a team. She would always say that our customers come first! She would do exactly that. She built a huge clientele. A lot of customers would come to our store and tell us that they would only shop at our location. It was rewarding to know that our efforts impacted our clientele. The employee discount was awesome! Our District Sales Manager would go to the hardware store often, he would get any supplies we needed.

    Cons

Our District Sales Manager did not come around that often, our conversations were not informative. We had daily conference calls, the calls are very long and very repetitive of my current knowledge. If someone called in, you are expected to stay and work the 13 hour day. On a solo shift, if you had to go to the bathroom, it is required to remove all merchandise off the counter. This process usually takes about 20 minutes, if you had an emergency, you are in quite a predicament.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

You should ask for feed back from the store staff about management and above. As an employee of 19 years, I was saddened that I did not receive any notice from corporate asking about any suggestions or comments. I really did not feel like their was anyone to convey my concerns to above in store management. I did not really feel like I had anyone to voice my opinion to, or suggestions. I would still love to hear from anyone.
