I have been working at Polaris Management Partners full-time (Less than a year)
Though Polaris is an established company, it still has a start up feel. Because of this, there is lots of room to learn, grow, and take on as much responsibility as you would like. The people here are energetic and friendly. I've not been here long, but already I feel like part of the team. The company makes a huge effort to make sure all employees feel welcomed and that they have a good work/life balance. They have a wellness committee and a fun committee to make sure that their employees play as hard as they work. Overview of Pros: - Friendly and smart coworkers - Lots of opportunity for growth(since it is a growing company) - A chance to make a big difference in the company - Free healthy snacks via Wellness Committee: Cereal, fruits, granola bars, etc - Monthly happy hours/activities/events via the Fun Committee - Feedback on all ends (I've never seen a company that cares so much about improving itself that it has a feedback system that has everyone reviewing everything from supervisors reviewing employees, to employees reviewing supervisors/management, and figuring out how we can do better moving forward).
Though the fact that it is a start-up is a pro, it can also mean a lot of work. There is always something that needs to be done. The hours may not always be 9-5pm, but if you're willing to put in the work, the time, and the effort, it can be really rewarding. Otherwise, it may not be what you're looking for.
Advice to Management
Keep doing what you're doing. I think it's great that you're always looking on how to improve processes and that you are open to any opinions that can make that happen
