I worked at Polo Ralph Lauren full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

beautiful clothing and fantastic discount (65% off)

    Cons

only veteran employees make a salary worth noting, keeping up with your wardrobe (even with the discount) leaves little left over to pay bills, must stay weight appropriate and pedicured as you are working on a "stage" that shows the world what Ralph Laurens version of life should be.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

provide a basic wardrobe like Tory Burch does.

    Application Details

I applied in-person. The process took 2 daysinterviewed at Polo Ralph Lauren.

    Interview Details

At my store - there is a simple, basic paper application. The same kind of application that you see in any sort of retail job. No resume was necessary. I received a call the next day by the hiring manager that wanted to see me. He asked me about my retail experience (which was very minimal at the time) as well as what would qualify me to be an excellent sales associate. The next interview was with the store manager who asked me more of the personality, work ethic questions. At the end of the interview, the store manager gave me a piece of paper with a website and a survey code. It was one of the surveys that dealt with lying and personality.

    Interview Questions
    • If you see a fellow associate stealing - what would you do? (I had very little retail experience before. But many retail companies tend to always ask this question. Be confident in your answers.)   Answer Question
    Accepted Offer
    Positive Experience
