I worked at Port Townsend Paper

    Pros

Has developed a complex grade mix as a means to fill the orders book. Senior operators have been there 25+ years and are a wealth of knowledge.

    Cons

Two "regimes" within management. 1) The guys who have been there 25+ years and 2) the guys who've been there less than 5 years. Seem to have differing opinions on how to run the operation, which has lead to a lot of friction within the ranks.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

The friction within the ranks at the management level is very noticeable by the hourly employees on the floor. People question who to follow and hope that thier actions don't dawn criticism from one manager and praise from another.
