As compared to other companies, this one is stable and has good financial performance. Benefits are reasonable and competitive.
The non-compete is set up to basically own the employee with severe and extremely wide ranging, including other countries, region. This may explain low turnover and low morale. I would not recommend anyone that I know to this company because of the non-compete.
Advice to Management
Assess the capabilities of the employees, there are a significant number of employees working below their potential because there does not appear to be a reward beyond keeping your job regardless of effort. Read the non-compete carefully, especially the third and last territory restrictions. Try to look at it from the employees eyes and understand that restricting movement vs. inspiring and rewarding contribution have measurably different outcomes in commitment and innovation.
