I started at Pragmatics in January 2004; I was dual-hatted, working as a software architect on the Joint Operation Planning and Execution System (JOPES) project and providing strategic technical support for Pragmatics and our customers. There are many reasons I enjoy working for Pragmatics and have stayed so long. First, Pragmatics provides opportunities for career growth and advancement. Early on, I knew I could help improve our software development capabilities. With a top-notch development staff, we’ve been implementing service oriented architecture solutions and building our award-winning Pragmatic Agility software development capabilities. We have been rewarded for our hard work with increasing levels of responsibility and promotions within the organization. Second, the people and the sense of family have made Pragmatic home for me. I’ve seen Pragmatics grow from a small to a large business, and the sense of family has remained strong. This starts with CEO Dr. Long Nguyen and Vice Chairman Kimmy Duong, who greet us all with friendly smiles and ask how we are doing. Our executives, general managers, project managers, and teams all instill a family atmosphere, making this a fun, friendly, and rewarding place to work. Third, I am proud of the quality of work we perform at Pragmatics and the solid reputation we have built with our customers. Pragmatics places a strong emphasis on delivering quality products that truly benefit our customers. Support for our agile practices has been unwavering. For our DISA customer, we have built a reputation as a go-to company for delivering high-quality, valuable software through our dedication to agile principles: satisfying customers through continuous delivery of valuable software and continuous attention to technical excellence. We are proud of our reputation. I look forward to many more years contributing to Pragmatics’ continued success.
I can't really say I've experienced Cons to speak of working at Pragmatics.

Getting an Interview

I applied through other source. I interviewed at Pragmatics (Reston, VA) in August 2015.
Open House to bring in lots of candidates. Felt like a cattle call. Very noisy environment. Interviewers seemed intent on getting as many folks through the door rather than looking at the individual. Interviewers were distracted and got pulled away mid interview. Had a total of about 7 minutes divided among 3 people.
