Our History

Complete. Close by. Committed to the community.

Three reasons why ProHealth Care is a trusted source residents have depended on for generations. As the only community-based health care organization in the area, ProHealth Care is also the largest health care provider between Milwaukee and Madison. We treat more than 400,000 patients per year in our medical centers, clinics and hospitals.

ProHealth Care's history dates back to 1914 with the opening of a single hospital in the city of Waukesha.

In 1998, Waukesha Hospital System and Oconomowoc Memorial Hospital joined together to form ProHealth Care. Today, we're an organization with 14 primary care clinics, three hospitals, home health care, inpatient and home hospice services, long-term care, senior residency communities, a health and fitness center, and more. We continually develop and add services to keep pace with community need and demand. These all-encompassing services provide a seamless continuum of care for patients of all ages.

ProHealth Care also offers a network of nearly 1,000 physicians and 4,800 employees, making us one of the largest employers in Waukesha County.

Caring for patients is second to none.
    Modern facilities and equipment
    Excellent wages
We seem to be doing well financially when others are not.

Some of the long term employees refuse to acknowledge that the healthcare industry is going thru change and will not give up the past.
We need better and more thorogh communication on what is happening with the organization.

    Advice to Management

Please give employees more than one update on an issue. We deserve REGULAR communication as new changes occur.

I applied online – interviewed at ProHealth Care.

Recruiter called to setup time for phone interview. Since we had been playing phone tag, when the recruiter finally reached me, we ended up doing the phone interview at that time. The recruiter then setup an in person interview with the hiring manager. The in person interview was with the hiring manager and other people in similar roles.
