As a business, Prometric has existed in some form for more than 40 years. As such, we are often credited for having invented much of the modern testing industry and for setting the standards by which the testing industry operates. These standards set a high bar for integrity and honesty, and our reputation for being ethical, knowledgeable and trustworthy precedes us. Integrity, dedication, teamwork, collaboration, innovation and meeting our obligations have always been a hallmark of Prometric and its employees. We are known for doing what we say we will.

Prometric is dedicated to fostering a culture in which we are committed to all of our business transactions in the highest ethical manner. Our ethics and the way we conduct our business are enforced from the CEO personally, and we are encouraged by our management team to be open, compassionate, honest and transparent. Our Code of Conduct, which every employee is required to read and sign, reflects those deep-seated values.

In addition to high ethical standards, our business is very focused on supporting the communities where we work. We are also extraordinarily compassionate toward the people who make up those communities. To lead efforts in those areas, Prometric is very proud of our Quality of Work Life Team. The mission of the Quality of Work Life Team (QWLT) is to improve the work life for our employees and contribute to our community. A quote taken directly from their charter states, “We will accomplish this by hosting events at the workplace which will improve our work environment, employee morale and engagement. We will also encourage our employees to contribute to our community and charitable organizations.”

Each year, QWLT plans, organizes and leads a number of charitable events in which our employees can participate, from recycling programs and blood drives to food drives, back-to-school drives and fundraisers for breast cancer and natural disasters around the world. In addition to their heavy focus on charitable giving to our worldwide communities, the employees of Prometric worldwide focus on fun – and participate in everything from costume competitions on Halloween to chili cook-offs and donation drives for UNICEF.

Prometric encourages community involvement by providing employees (with six months of tenure) one day (up to eight hours) per calendar year for volunteering their time to local schools, non-profit organizations, community services and other approved organizations, including faith-based opportunities. We believe in giving back to the communities in which we work, and we are pleased to find that our employees are often the ones leading the charge!

I applied online. The process took 3 months - interviewed at Prometric.

    Interview Details

It took a long time from interview to actually work. There is a pretty rigorous background check and they go aver everything for the past ten years. The will investigate your work residential and IRS status. They take fingerprints and there are a lot of steps involved. I responded to a help wanted ad on INdeed and about three weeks later received a phone call and had a brief phone interview with the DM. A week or two had passed and had a second interview with the same DM. The next day I had a phone interview with the TOM. I was contacted for a interview about a week or two later and met the DM in person. The interview went well and about a week latter I was given a offer letter and the process to get hired began. It was at that point that the background checks began and those took about a month to get cleared. There was nothing to difficult involved but it really is a lengthy process and if you need employment fast ...this wont be it.

    Negotiation Details
No negotiation because the offer was good. I was offered a 40 hour position for 14.15 and hour plus benefits including health, vision, dental, sick , vacation and holiday pay. The benefits are terrible but that's not the companies fault... AETNA sucks.
