I have been working at Proofpoint

    Pros

The people I work with are the best. Of all the places I have been, this ranks in the very top for quality of people and products. Makes it fun to come to work.

    Cons

Some of the financial 'hoops' in place are frustrating. So much process and control over the smallest aspects get in the way of solving problems in a timely fashion. It is being addressed but is embedded in the culture pretty deep. Would have given 5 stars for compensation and benefits but oddly, Proofpoint does not match 401k $$.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Keep up the good work! Senior management is very accessible and down to earth. Mid management is doing a great job. Really like the direction the company is headed.

    Application Details

I applied through other source. The process took 3 weeksinterviewed at Proofpoint.

    Interview Details

    1. Phone screen.
    2. Panel of 4 interviewers

After the panel interview nobody got back to me until I followed up myself in 2 weeks. The answer was that the position I applied for had been repurposed to some other team.

Given the amount of time I spent on phone screen, driving to their office and stress associated with the interview it was very frustrating to hear that the position was not even available. So I consider my experience as a negative one.
