During my internship there I was never once asked to get coffee or scan something. From day one I was put to work and was treated like any other employee. They recognize achievements and are personal enough to remember Birthdays, anniversaries with the company, and have a very fun loving atmosphere as long as you are able to get your work done first.
If you can not learn with the sink or swim method then it will be hard to get your feet wet at all.
Advice to Management
There is some lack with the knowledge of some systems when it comes to training those who do not know and it should be addressed.

I applied through a staffing agency. The process took a week – interviewed at Protective Life (Elgin, IL).
Had 1 interview total - did have a phone screening first - but overall it was average interview. Did dressed business casual. Highly recommend business casual at every interview - but the work environment is very casual.
