    Application Details

I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2+ monthsinterviewed at Qatargas.

    Interview Details

Phone interview. All hiring is done thru an agent. A medical is required followed by a background check. The application of a visa follows and the offer process occurs in parallel. If one passes the medical and the offer negotiations are successful, then the company will first mobilize the candidate and his family can follow a month or two later. The total process from interview to first day at the desk can take between 6 and 10 months.

    Interview Questions
    • Easy questions about my experiences. Since there is no equal opportunity laws, be prepared to be asked very personal questions.   Answer Question
    Negotiation Details
A preliminary offer comes, and is almost always a low ball. Negotiating is difficult and demeaning, but necessary, because there are few raises once hired. The contract is good for 3 years, and no negotiations occur prior to contract expiration.
    Accepted Offer
