I have been working at Qdoba part-time (less than a year)Pros
Employees get one free meal on the days they work. 50% off all other days, and free drinks all the time. Managers eat free no matter what. For regular crew members, they pay a quarter above minimum wage. For managers I *hear* that they are paid like ~$3 above minimum wage.
The food deals are the main bonus for me. Also this is a great place to work as a student because, at least at my location in a college town, they are very accommodating to schedules (just make sure you tell them exactly what you want; specify your days off) and they are good at letting you have time off during normal school breaks (since they lose most of their clientele anyway)Cons
I can't complain about anyone I worked with (except for one woman....) but honestly everyone else was nice. The parts that sucked about the job was closing. You never got to clock out on time because closing takes so long. Sometimes we have people ordering food 5 minutes before we should have closed the store, and then you have to clean. I mean the tasks themselves aren't so bad, but it would be nice to leave on time instead of 1-2 hours past your scheduled time.Advice to ManagementAdvice

They pay very little attention to you and ask maybe 2 questions. Probably why the people that work there are slack offs and don't care about their job. They will hire anyone.Negotiation DetailsThere was no negotiation. I turned in my application, was interviewed on the spot, and got the job within 5 minutes. They are literally always so desperate for new hires that they just take anyone who walks in the door.Accepted OfferNegative Experience

Fresh, made-to-order Mexican food is on the menu at Qdoba Restaurants. The company operates Qdoba Mexican Grill, the #2 quick-casual Mexican chain behind market leader Chipotle Mexican Grill, with about 500 locations in 40 states. The eateries offer a selection of signature burritos, along with tacos, salads, nachos, and breakfast items. Patrons can also choose from nearly a dozen fresh salsas and sauces to complement their entrees. More than 150 of the restaurants are company-owned, while the rest are franchised. Qdoba is owned by hamburger chain operator Jack in the Box.
