    Pros

ROAM has put new leadership in place and this has made a huge difference within the development and QA team.

Bright engineering team that really understands this industry.

Plenty of room to grow and learn with the new products that are being introduced.

    Cons

The sales team has an EVIL attitude and cares only about themselves.

The product marketing team is weak and they don't do their job effectively.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Keep sales and product and product management out of engineering and things will run a lot smoother. The engineering team is quite capable and willing to put in 110%.

    Senior Software Engineer Interview

    Anonymous Employee in Boston, MA
    Anonymous Employee in Boston, MA
    Application Details

I applied online. The process took 2 daysinterviewed at ROAM Data in May 2014.

    Interview Details

    Very bad interview experience.

    1. Made me enter similar and quite sensitive personal details (like SSN and DOB) in multiple forms as first 30 minutes interview.

    2. Ridiculous questions were asked to be coded in a very short period of time. The interviewers agreed no one has been able to solve the question in time. (The real reason seems to be: that question requires indepth animation and advanced logic to be solved, which usually requires time to be implemented)

    3. Cherry on the cake, never, got reimbursed for the ticket fares amounting more than $200 which was agreed to in the emails.
