I have been working at Randalls part-time (more than an year)

Randalls has a great work-life balance; they're very flexible with their hours and will work with you when it comes to scheduling. Hourly employees get a raise every 6 months depending on performance.

There will always be rude customers; don't let them get to you. Can be very stressful if your store is understaffed. Also, although it's not impossible to move up in your store, it's not exactly common.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Give the stores more hours instead of cutting them every chance you get. Cutting your staff down to a skeleton crew stresses them out, and it's much harder to tolerate rude customers when we're stressed out.

How did Randall's Food & Drugs become one of the largest regional supermarket chains in the US with stores in only a few areas of a single state? By locating them all in the big state of Texas. Known for offering slightly upscale shopping in wealthier neighborhoods, all of its stores are located in three of Texas' four biggest markets: Austin, Dallas/Fort Worth, and Houston.
