Rauxa was founded in 1999 with a clear vision to help brands acquire, engage, retain, grow and win back customers. Since then, we’ve kept these core principals while adding new services and capabilities that address the specific needs of our clients, combining the very best in brand marketing, digital business, and strategic services.
There are jobs, and then there’s a career at Rauxa.
When you’re a Rauxan, the first thing you’ll notice is that it’s less a company than it is a community. Expect to be working side by side with some of the most experienced and talented people in the business. What we all have in common is our passion, drive for excellence and genuine care for our clients and each other. We pride ourselves on being idea-generators who check our egos at the door. And we make sure that no matter what level you may be, you’ll have opportunities to grow, learn and produce the best work of your career.
The other part of life at Rauxa is our relentless commitment to having fun. Yes, there is a yin to our yang. A little something extra that helps us thrive and have balanced lives. It’s just one of the reasons people come to Rauxa and stay.
Rauxa. It’s Catalan, actually. We pronounce it “rocks-uh.” It translates as: unbridled emotion with a redeeming touch of madness. You’ll find it in the passion of our people (Rauxans) and in the data-driven solutions we create for our clients every day.
Current employees weighing in on their favorite aspect of Rauxa’s culture:
“I like that even though I am relatively young, my decisions, input and direction are taken seriously and really make a difference.” –Ori, Senior Copywriter
“Although we work very hard here, the Rauxa culture also encourages us to take a little time to have some fun with our co-workers—whether it’s during beer cart Fridays, summer parties or team outings. And we have a great group of people that work here who genuinely enjoy each other’s company, which is not always easy to come by.” –Allison, Account Supervisor
“The energy. Whether that manifests as ideas in brainstorms or table dancing in all company meetings, everyone here is generally stoked on what they’re doing.” – Graham, Strategic Planner
“I like to meet the people I work with. Everyone is fun, interesting and, for the most part (rough deadlines excluded), happy and enjoying what they do.” – Jason, Associate Creative Director

I have been working at Rauxa full-time for more than 3 yearsPros
The senior execs, especially the two co-founders are highly involved, approachable and engaged. Unlike some agencies where there is a big divide between the top and everyone else, they are involved not just in bringing in new clients, but in the delivering the work itself. You feel much more like you're part of a team than just another employee.
There is less politics than I've seen at other agencies and companies. In fact, everyone seems to be much more work friends than colleagues which makes working on tight deadlines or with the inevitable difficult client easier.Cons
Because the execs are often involved in the client work, they are spread too thin and can sometimes create more of a bottleneck, which falls back on everyone else to close the gaps.
The growing pains were already evident, but have become bigger issues since being acquired. Even though the acquiring agency is small, they act like a big company and the mix is challenging.
The acquiring agency has a very different culture. As is typical, they pay lip service to valuing employees, but many decisions conflict with that.
Time will tell whether the acquisition will turn out to be a net positive.Advice to ManagementAdvice
Build the team of senior leaders at the next level so there is less a bottleneck.
Either truly make the integration work and maintain the ThoughtMatrix culture as much as possible or agree to continue to work as a subsidiary.RecommendsNeutral OutlookApproves of CEO

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 1+ week - interviewed at Rauxa.Interview Details
Amy contacted me via LinkedIn because she thought my profile was a good fit for a position ThoughtMatrix was trying to fill. From the very first to the very last email, and during our phone call, Amy was not only courteous, prompt, and straightforward, she also took the time to shape the conversation around my specific traits and skills. The communications never felt like forwarded templates. In addition, I could tell Amy was doing her best to present me under a favorable (but not false) light.Interview Questions
