I worked at Restaurant.com full-time (Less than a year)
This is an old-school sales pit, cubicles are shoulder to shoulder and it gets REAL loud. This job is all about the one call close and the room is filled with an energy to match. It's fun to come to work. The product is insanely simple and the 50 or so sales people enjoy the heck out of eachother. From a sales-skill development standpoint, you WILL become awesome at the art of the close...and that's helpful anywhere.
Earning potential for year 1 is realistically 40-45k at most. For those not at quota at the end of the month, be prepared to dial straight thru 10pm, those without that willingness will likely find themselves on the chopping block, and there is a LOT of chopping. In terms of advancement opportunity, there is none. Also the company is without shame when it comes to deceptive practice. They'll deceive the clients...and if you don't think management has the same disregard for it's workforce, you are cruisin for a bruisin.
Advice to Management
Increase the quality of the workspace, increase the quality of the sale.

I applied online. I interviewed at Restaurant.com (Arlington Heights, IL).
Phone screening with the HR Lady. Then set up interview with sales manager. East interview shadow another rep for 10 minutes and they will pretty much hire a rock as long as he passes the background check
