Hours are flexible, although we are suppose to work from 830 am to 500 pm. Great therapists with which to work. (Because I didn't want to end my sentence with a preposition). Most of the facilities have good equipment with which to work. (same as before). Productivity is not 95%. Salaries may not be the best, but you can survive on it, as the south region of the USA has some of the best salaries in America.
Just like any other Skilled Nursing Facility, Productivity is expected. Rehab Directors only know about ULTRA RUG categories, unless it's a Managed Care Insurance payor. Moving to a lower RUG category is unknown, rather it's positive or a negative direction. Management has forgotten what it is like to work as a Therapist for those that are or were Therapist.
Advice to Management
Buy a program that guarantees your Medicare compliance. One that will write your guaranteed Medicare Functional Reimbursements. Terry Evans???? Never met the man/woman!

I applied through an employee referral. The process took 3 days – interviewed at Restore Therapy Services (Grenada, MS) in July 2012.
I spoke with the Rehab Director on the phone. I interviewed another day with the Physical Therapist, on the phone. They asked me a few questions related to my past experiences and jobs. I was informed there were others that had applied for the job and that I was asking for the highest salary. I asked them if anyone had the experience that I had and the expertise. The answer was they had 3 students applying who had recently graduated. My answer was well you will need me there to train them. I was on a 13 week traveling assignment, they waited for me to take this position, utilizing experienced PRN (as needed) therapists there until I arrived. It is the Best Assignment I have had in my 20 years of experience. If I will stop criticizing the Management, I should keep this job until I die.
