I have been working at Rho full-time

    Pros

Rho is team-oriented, to focus on customer service first and foremost, and to create an internal rapport between various functional groups. The company provides ample opportunity for self-improvement, with in-house trainings, a decent professional development budget, and encouragement to further or change functional role. Employee retention is an ideal, so the average stint at Rho is probably higher than most contract research organizations.

    Cons

Hard to ride a bike down Highway 54.

    Statistical Research Associate Interview

    Application Details

I applied online. The process took 3 weeks - interviewed at Rho in November 2009.

    Interview Details

I found the job posting through the state's unemployment website. I applied online and received a call from HR and had a brief (about 20 minute) interview where we went over pretty generic information (mostly confirming things on my application). We set up a time for a follow-up phone interview. During that interview, I spoke with someone I would be working under, and this was more of a real interview. It lasted about 30 minutes and I got the impression that she thought I was 'over qualified'. However within a week HR called to set up an in-person interview. This interview was about 2 hours long. I met with HR folks for about an hour and they asked me generic interview questions. Then I met with people I would actually be working with, and they asked me questions about my resume, and questions about how I would handle work related situations. I felt good about the interview when I left.

    Negotiation Details
I knew the salary range they were offering going into the interviews. They offered me the highest salary out of their range, so I accepted on the spot.
