The Rhode Island Division of Taxation collects a variety of taxes for the Ocean State. Included among them are corporate, sales and excise, personal income, and estate taxes. In addition to its usual tax-collection duties, the division also administers the state's unemployment benefits program for jobless workers and seizes unstamped cigarettes as contraband. Businesses may pay sales, withholding, and other taxes through electronic funds transfers. The division's Web sites lists taxpayers' rights and the top 100 tax delinquents.
