I worked at River Island Clothing part-time for more than a year

Flexible working hours and shifts, good staff discounts, 75% off on jeans and 30% off the rest when I worked there for two years.

Not always guaranteed to leave on time at the end of day shifts until every inch of the shop is clean. The management (supervisors) can sometimes be a bit rude and disrespectful.

I walked in with my cv asked to speak to a manager handed her my cv , she asked me could she speak to me for a few minutes brought me over to the denim section and interviewed me there asked me basic questions like what's good customer service to you , how have you led my example In a team etc then she told me the rate of pay and the hours of contract whitch was an 8 hour contact and Basicly told me I have the job , then phoned me two days later and confrimed I had the job I went in for an induction day and it turns out there was 16 of us starting all on 8 hour contracts witch I thought was quite silly as they could of just gave 8 people the job with proper contracts. River island was truely a Horible place to work the managers just looked down on you spoke to the new staff as if wee where dogs really not a nice place to work . I should of guessed this by how unorganised the interview process was and the fact they did not even check references
