    Pros

Free uniform, great discount, being part of a fashion forward business.

    Cons

Need to be flexible as to support the business needs.
Too many different opinions on different aspects of the store can cause extended workload for teams and can be frustrating.
Not enough hours in a day.

    Application Details

I applied online. The process took a dayinterviewed at River Island Clothing in February 2015.

    Interview Details

I applied online for a vacancy they had advertised and 2 weeks later I get a an email to book a time slot. The interview was held at the job centre in the city centre with 15 more other people. Once we got moved upstairs into a large room there were a few of the staff members ticking off your name from a large list. They asked everyone to stand around, they introduced themselves and split us all up into 4 groups. My group had a girl who had been working with River Island for only 3 months so I felt okay answering her questions and getting involved in the activity. Our activity was that we had a scenario like "You are helping a girl buy an outfit for a wedding that she is going to with their boyfriend, but her boyfriends ex is going to be there." so there was a table layed out with clothes so we had to act how we would sell the clothing to the girl. Once we had done the activity she told us to sit down at the chairs and wait to be called for separate interviews.
She was pretty slow with interviewing everybody, so we waited quite a long time to get interviewed and when I did all she asked was that my application online was correct and to see my passport.
They said they would contact everyone by phone or email if you are successful or not but I got neither so I was pretty gutted at the fact I never even got a call or email. Since then I have tried to email back for feedback but they have not replied.
