I worked at Roseburg Forest Products full-time (more than 10 years)

    Pros

This is a great location. The pay for the area is decent. A lot of the people are very friendly.

    Cons

Horrible management.lack of growth. Safety programs run by idiots. To much Covering there butts and not running a good company. You literally feel like the want to control every Aspect of your life. Not employee friendly or equal opportunity for all.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Move management people around . Buddy systems corrupt employment. Be more sensitive to employees needs. Lead with growth and development make it a team not a little prison camp.

From application to hearing the results of resume review is a fixed 30 day wait. Since the goal of the position is to support college bound individuals, the interview centers on education goals with an expected look at work ethic and background. Proving you can be punctual and pass drug tests is a big benchmark in the interview. Rehiring summer to summer may not even require a re-interview if performance is excellent.

    Interview Questions
    • The "why should I hire you" and "why Roseburg Forest Products over other mills in the area" were the most challenging.   Answer Question
