I learned so much in my years there. I loved our patients, & looked forward to doing my best for them. Nursing staff was awesome! Best I ever worked with. Friendly employees. Very clean...kudos to housekeeping. Salary was comparable the rest of the nation, maybe even slightly above.
Newer management has taken the Institute to a low level. Patient care focus no longer evident in the last few years; it's all about money. Management & HR would rather have incompetent & lazy employees who just want to collect a paycheck, instead of people who truly care about what they do. When gossip & lies win over truth & dedication to patient safety & care, it's time to move on. Way too much favoritism in certain departments. Unfair treatment of different employees in same situation.
Advice to Management
Stop making it difficult for exemplary employees to want to stay. Stop hiring unqualified people, expecting everyone else to pick up their slack without being compensated for it. Believe in veteran employees, not idle gossip & fabricated stories. RPCI is bleeding great employees because of poor management & an HR department that is inconsistent in its dealing with employees.
