    Application Details

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 weeksinterviewed at Rubio's Restaurants.

    Interview Details

Found the job online at the same time a recruiter contacted me about the position. Met with hiring manager quite quickly, had two in person interviews, took a personality test, a drug test, and had a background check. All negotiations were directed to HR with the hiring manager stating that they had no power in this regard.

The in person interviews did not include typical interview questions and were much more relevant to how I got along with the hiring manager.

    Negotiation Details
Attempted negotiation with hiring manager but any and all issues were directed to HR.

There's something fishy about these restaurants, but it's not suspicious in any way. After first tasting a fish taco in San Felipe, Mexico, Ralph Rubio returned to San Diego to hand-craft his own recipe and introduced America to the fish taco. Since that day back in 1983, Ralph, with the help of a lot of great people, has sold more than 170 million fish tacos! Rubio's is still based out of sunny San Diego, though they operate over 190 restaurants on the west coast. Investment firm Mill Road Capital took the company private in 2010.
