S&P Capital IQ – Why Work For Us?

About S&P Capital IQ

S&P Capital IQ is the powerful new combination of offerings previously provided by Capital IQ, elements of S&P including Global Credit Portal and MarketScope Advisor, enterprise solutions such as S&P Securities Evaluations and Compustat, research offerings including Leveraged Commentary & Data, Global Markets Intelligence, and company and fund research.

Unique Offerings
With an unprecedented combination of capabilities under one roof, S&P Capital IQ is an integral part of global economies, industries, businesses and markets, and provides insight that few others can offer today.

History & Heritage
S&P Capital IQ was created in 2010 in response to the rapidly changing and challenging needs of our global financial clients. The firm brought together many of the key research, analytic and strategic capabilities of Standard & Poor's with Capital IQ, an innovative provider of the most accurate and timely financial information. Headquartered in New York City, S&P Capital IQ has 7,000 employees in 20 countries, providing on-the-ground access to every economy, market and region on the globe.

We combine what we learn from every corner of the world-millions of data points from millions of sources, and distill it down into one thing: the perfect solution at that precise moment for our client.

What We Can Do
Whether it's helping to identify new investment ideas, understanding the hidden value in a transaction or enterprise, providing strategies that both mitigate risk and unlock opportunity, or delivering proprietary research and analytics on multi-asset class holdings, S&P Capital IQ works shoulder-to-shoulder with clients to deliver workflow-specific solutions.

Looking Forward
But that's just the beginning. S&P Capital IQ continues to evolve and grow-organically and through strategic acquisitions-all designed to meet our prime objective: turning financial intelligence into financial wisdom for our clients.

We look forward to working with you.

I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at S&P Capital IQ (New York, NY).

First, it was a phone interview. Then, it was 3 more in-person interviews. Like everyone else has mentioned on this site, they ask for technical and basic finance questions, so it would be good to brush up on those.
