I have been working at SES full-time (more than 10 years)

Team oriented, goal oriented, good salary, start with 4 weeks vacation

Most is not all decisions are based upon the European headquarters model of how to do things. This was a GE company at one time. Things like telecommuting that were a great benefit for worklife balance were taken away.

    Application Details

I applied online. The process took 3 weeksinterviewed at SES.

    Interview Details

I applied online and got a response in about a week from HR. First I got an interview with the HR person - likely they were profiling candidates - and then with the hiring manager. Then I had another one with people from another departments who I was supposed to work for.

    Interview Questions
    • Not ball curved. Very straightforward. I was asked to in detail go over my resume and see how that applied to the position. They expected me to ask question and discuss about the industry. Since the satellite industry is so specific, I was expected to prove I did my homework and was very honest about shortcomings on knowledge (it was not an issue).   Answer Question
    Negotiation Details
Not much room for negotiation. They sent an offer using UPS - very formal process - and gave me about a week to respond.
