    I have been working at SGK full-time for more than a year

    Pros

    They recruit great people. They have a very easy going yet productive company culture. SME will help with any questions you have and are very approachable. Work-life balance is great here.

    Cons

    Reducing unscheduled time off is a corporate priority, so that can be a demerit if it happens too much. They aren't that good at career development/planning, you have to figure a lot out on your own.

    Better career planning/development to retain in-house talent.

    Application Details

    I applied online. The process took 1+ week - interviewed at SGK in May 2014.

    Interview Details

    I applied for the job via their website on a Thursday. The following Wednesday, I received an email from HR reaching out to schedule a phone interview. We scheduled 30 minutes to chat the next day. The call lasted only 20 minutes, and we had already decided to schedule an in-person interview with the hiring manager. Later that evening, I received an email with the full schedule list of the 4 different people I'd be meeting with and the date and time. 1 week later, 2 hours total, 30min each with each person.

    The next Thursday, I met with the hiring manager (Account Director), another Sr. AE, an ACD, and an AE. The next morning, I had an email from HR following up on the interview, and an offer was extended via email that day.

    Reasons for Declining

    I didn't decline the offer. They withdrew their offer 2 days later, telling me they had "restructured the department" and could no longer offer me the job.

    Though there was no mention of a timeline, I was told the offer expired and was contingent on a drug screen, background check, credit check, etc. None of which I took, nor was told I needed to take.

    I had a couple follow up questions/negotiation-type responses, and instead of answering or responding to any of them, they took the offer off the table completely.
