    I worked at STA Travel full-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

    Great opportunties to travel. Young and young-at-heart atmosphere. Fun activities, upbeat, casual (extremely casual) environment. Very open middle management. Decent pay for entry level and opportunity to grow if you apply yourself.

    Cons

    There is almost no money put into support roles. The support team reports to seperate management in the UK and are given different goals than the sales teams so they do not work as one. Senior management has encouraged them to not work as one due to their own personal conflicts. Most of upper management has been removed as cost savings so communiation iand engagement is poor from their level.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    With STA US being a small company there should be more engagement with leadership. It is frustating to see leaders come to town only to sit in a conference room all day or work remotely from their hotel room. Operations and Sales needs to find common ground as the current situation hurts the business.
