    Pros

    - Flexible hours (for most projects) - Most colleagues are great to work with - Easy work - Good location

    Cons

    - Poor salary - Management has no idea what they are doing, Salmat promotes people that have worked for the company for a long time, not those that deserve a promotion - There is a lot of lying, cover ups and deceit at higher management levels - There is a big drinking culture within management - No accountability and lack of help where it is needed for agents

    Advice to Management

    Focus on training people who are suited to management positions, don't just hand them out to people who have been there for a while. People who are friends with recruitment/managers are likely to get the position - that needs to stop, it leads to people unsuited to the job being in a position of power, they almost always abuse it. Also, take your whistleblowing system more seriously. Fraud is not okay.

    I applied online. The process took 3 weeksinterviewed at Salmat.

    Interview

    Very comfortable interview, I was pretty overdressed, but that never hurts. Fairly standard interview questions. In feedback I received, I was told I was a very active thinker and spoke well, interviewed well, but they thought I was too creative and would get bored within the role quickly. Not sure if that says more about me or what the actual role would entail.

    • I was asked why I wanted to change from a creative background to an account based role. I simply answered that I wanted the change.   Answer Question
