Former Employee - Intern in San Diego, CA

I worked at San Diego Symphony Orchestra Association as an intern (less than an year)

    Pros

Some great middle managers who became role models to me, the other interns were also great to work with. Over all it was a great experience in seeing how to run a non-profit.

    Cons

Not enough money in the classical musical world to hire new talent--despite breaking previous sales records. Classical music is a dying industry. Cities like San Diego should look to exciting orchestras like the LA Phil and take cues on how to innovate and attract new business.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Try something more modern and fun with the programming. The reason business is slow is because your customers are ancient and un-cool.

    Doesn't Recommend
    Negative Outlook
