  • Overall good, but top management lacked manufacturing knowledge and worth of employees.

Good pay, decent benefits. Imediate managers and supervisors listened and made efforts to help solve manufacturing issues.

Top tier management is only interested in stockholder profits. They close US plants and send work to India, China and Mexico to save money. They will lay you off with no notice.

    Advice to Management

If you are going to be in the manufacturing business, hire people who know manufacturing, not marketing and sales to run your company. Bring your jobs back to the USA.

I applied through a staffing agency. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Sanford L.P. (Shelbyville, TN) in June 2008.

I went in the staffing place and filled out an application.then I had to do a skill test. I really don't remember waht all was on it. I think basic questions like math mostly. And watched a safety video. I had to wait two to three days for background check to come back. It not hard to get on there. You just have to show up for work on time and do a good job
