    Application Details

I applied online. The process took 5 weeksinterviewed at Savvysherpa in September 2014.

    Interview Details

The whole process took a little over a month. Initial contact was a week after I submitted my application. The assignment was due ten days later. After 2 weeks, they invited me to interview. They contacted me with their final decision a week after the interview.

The initial communication was an assignment: write a recommendation for a particular business decision, given data that had already been analyzed by their statisticians. They gave me some instructions based the writing samples I'd already submitted so I knew what they were looking for specifically from me.

The interview was only focused on how I'd fit into the culture and the job. I interviewed with four people who served different functions in the company (including the senior person in the position I was applying for). They were all super friendly, though the person in the position I was interviewing for intentionally asked difficult questions that I'd probably encounter on the job. Everyone was extremely friendly, and the interactions between everyone I met were highly collegial. It seemed like it would be an awesome place to work!

    Interview Questions
    • They had me analyze a situation in which a client was accidentally paying too many insurance claims. They had me go through the steps of filing and/or re-filing an insurance claim to understand where the client might have been making mistakes.   Answer Question
