I have been working at Seton Medical Center full-time for more than 3 years

The Nurse Residency Program is top notch. Most of my coworkers truly care about their patients and coworkers, and are great team players. My coworkers are like extended family.

Management is not consistent from floor to floor. Supplies occasionally run out.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Since patient satisfaction is a factor in reimbursement rates, focus on the staff that offer hands on patient care. Cutting back on their benefits or increasing their work load will result in reduced patient satisfaction and reduced reimbursement.

    Application Details

I applied in-person - interviewed at Seton Medical Center.

    Interview Details

I had an interview a long time ago... but the questions that were asked of me were fair and appropriate. I did have experience as a student at the facility before interviewing for a job, so my work was already known to the director of the department. I was able to meet with the staff as well. And this is a standard for the department I work in. After you meet the director, you also get to meet the staff and ask questions of them (and answer their questions, too, of course!). Its nice because they are the people you will ultimately spend your day with. The director is always out and about and seen much less often.

    Negotiation Details
no negotiation. I was hired, and I started as soon as my license was granted. Until then, I worked in the department in my previous job role.
