The pay is not too bad and for line cooks there is usually plenty of overtime available...probably more than anyone would actually want really. So there is the potential to make a pretty decent living if you are willing and able to put in the hours. Also, the servers make a killing. They average between $20 and $30 an hour.
The owner/manager is almost impossible to work for and consequently the moral of the staff is as low as I have ever seen. The owner ridicules and regularly screams as the staff and there is absolutely no upward mobility.
Advice to Management
Management needs to be more professional in training, managing, and motivating the staff so that they will retain valuable employees as well as be able to attract talented new prospects.
