    Pros

The company is growing rapidly, expanding its footprint domestically (DC in 2010, Boston in 2012, San Francisco in 2014) and abroad (Bangalore in 2011, Mumbai in 2014). Individual senior bankers are also joining the platform strategically. The people are nice and the deal flow is strong. Compensation is below street but fair.

    Cons

There is little effort on the part of the senior bankers to integrate across the firm, or to create a junior banker class (individuals are brought on and left to fend for themselves in small, 5 person offices). There is practically no onboarding or ongoing training. The leanness of the deal teams means all junior bankers work long (80+) hours every week.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

The CEO (Scott Wieler) is very strong and has great ideas, but they aren't being acted upon throughout the bank. The growing pains are real, but the company does have a bright future.
