This is a great place to work, with a fun and creative atmosphere and a genuinely friendly, community-oriented group of colleagues. People get along very well and bond together over helping to work on great books, and the books really are very well-done. The environment during the work day really is one of support and collaboration and it doesn't feel corporate at all.
Because it is publishing, promotions and fair raises are hard to come by. The company will find any excuse not to promote you unless they absolutely have to, which is pretty much true all across publishing, but just something to be aware of if this is the field you're going into.
