In 2007 we opened the first Smashburger with one simple notion in mind: despite the overwhelming number of restaurants serving burgers, Americans were starving for something better. And we could deliver. Our vision is to connect with America’s passion for its favorite food on a local level and in a space where “Smashed Fresh, Served Delicious” means dedication to crafting the best-tasting burger around. Our smashed burgers are always made-to-order, never frozen, smashed and seared to perfection on our grill. Our menu is also kid-friendly, vegetarian-approved and topped off with frosty milkshakes.

TRiP guides Smashburger internal leaders in learning and practicing those key leadership competencies. It’s designed to help you explore and develop these leadership skills while also learning Smashburger procedures, standards and routines.

You love Smashburger and we love you back! Getting involved in the places we call home is just one way we’re able to show it. Last year our corporate office volunteered nearly 1,000 hours and raised more than $8,000 to give to six different local charities. Like striving to craft the best burger, we try to put the same amount of care into where we live and work.
FOOD FOR THOUGHT
Our team committed over 250 volunteer hours in 2014 to work with Food For Thought, whose mission is to end hunger for local children. Once a month during the past school year, groups from Smashburger gathered to pack 900 power snacks, which were delivered to 4 different Colorado elementary schools. TURKEY ROUND UP
We’re partial to burgers, but around the holidays everyone’s talking turkey. Each year the Denver Rescue Mission rounds up thousands of turkeys for nonprofit organizations, homes in need, and to help provide a traditional Thanksgiving meal for the homeless. Last year we raised more than $4,300 to donate 308 turkeys. With your help, we’ll Smash those numbers this year! Find out how to get involved at the Denver Rescue Mission.
BOYS & GIRLS CLUB
The Boys & Girls Club focuses on giving youth a safe place where they can learn and develop into caring, responsible young adults. Last year we held our first annual all-company day of service in partnership with the Boys & Girls Club and created several field and art activities for the kids’ field day.
Smashburger also partnered with the charity for a holiday gift drive to help local youth celebrate the holiday season. With the aid of a wish list from the kids, our volunteers raised $2,500 and went on a shopping bonanza for gifts. Stay up to date with what’s happening at The Boys & Girls Club.
RMCCF GOLF TOURNAMENT
The Rocky Mountain Childhood Cancer Foundation is a nonprofit organization that assists families who are dealing with the unexpected, and at time overwhelming, emotional and financial stresses of childhood cancers. Smashburger competes in the RMCCF’s annual golf tournament to raise funds to ease the financial burdens felt by impacted families who are fighting their child’s illness. The pros about working at Smashburger, is that the company is growing so fast and rapidly, the sky is the limit. I am a extremely hard and dedicated worker, and that has been recognized and rewarded here. I have literally made my way up the ladder, starting as a cashier, then cook, shift leader, assistant manager, and now I am a general manager with this company. There are also a lot of other employees in my market that have been internally promoted with success.
One of the biggest cons, is the employee pool that this company attracts, although it is a "fast casual" concept, it is not the same as "fast food", therefore harder work is required, and a lot of employees do not grasp that. Another con is that this company is fairly new, so there are a lot of changes, and different tests for different markets, so there is always something we are trying to master, or sudden changes to previous things already learned.
