We’re proud to be headquartered in Fond du Lac, a thriving, mid-sized city nestled against the shores of Lake Winnebago, Wisconsin’s largest inland lake. Fond du Lac’s blend of bustling business and pristine nature gives the city’s 43,000-plus residents plenty to gush over. A lower cost of living, progressive school system and low crime rate also make Fond du Lac a great place to live, work and raise a family.
Outside of a lively art center, aquatic center and 30 new soccer fields, Lake Winnebago remains the center of activity. In the summer, residents rush to its waters to fish, boat and swim under the warm sun. Months later, they return to go ice skating and ice fishing. And if you’re the outdoorsy type, there’s also plenty of camping and snowmobiling to be had.
The economic climate of Fond du Lac owes its strength to its sizeable and diverse base of business and industry. From cheese-making to outboard motor manufacturing, dozens of industries have flocked to the city, contributing to the prosperity and personality of the community.
One of the most exciting aspects of Fond du Lac is our festivals. Now attracting more than 100,000 visitors a year, the city’s renowned Walleye Weekend lays claim to Wisconsin’s second-largest festival. This three-day fish fest features a weekend filled with sporting events, music acts from across the nation, angling tournaments and, of course, plenty of delicious food.
If you’re a lover of the arts, enroll for a workshop at Windover Center for the Arts or catch a play at Fond du Lac Community Theatre. There are also regular concerts from the Fond du Lac Symphonic Band to get your toes tapping.
The Fond du Lac medical community encompasses numerous health services, from primary care and family practice to specialized diagnostic treatment and physical therapy. These include St. Agnes Hospital, Fond du Lac Regional Clinic, Aurora Health Center and Fond du Lac Surgery Center.
The Fond du Lac School District operates 14 school buildings, including three junior high schools and a senior high school, alongside an excellent variety of parochial schools. Three outstanding higher education facilities have campuses in Fond du Lac. They are the University of Wisconsin – Fond du Lac, Marian University and Moraine Park Technical College, part of the Wisconsin Technical College System.

WHAT WE DO ON CAMPUSES
We take an active role in supporting aspiring professionals by regularly participating in regional on-campus events. Whether it’s conducting mock interviews, reviewing résumés or speaking as a guest presenter, we aim to build professional relationships with students and promote their educational growth.
Of course, we’re also always on the lookout for fresh talent to bring aboard our expert team of insurance specialists. We focus on recruiting university business students with a knack for taking on big business challenges. We’re all about knowing what makes small businesses tick, so we look for individuals with the ability to pinpoint and solve our policyholders’ unique problems.
If you plan to visit us at a career fair, we recommend you bring a résumé, dress for success and follow up with us to make a good first impression. You can also set yourself apart by attending one of our other on-campus events and introducing yourself beforehand. Your efforts may help you land one of our paid summer internships, where you’ll gain real-world experience working alongside our dedicated specialists.
Cultivating the next crop of insurance professionals is one of the most important things we do at Society. We work side-by-side with interns to equip them with the skills they need be successful in our industry. We offer internships across a variety of departments, including everything from client claims to underwriting.
After sharpening their skills as members of our team, interns have the opportunity to sit down with Society President and CEO Rick Parks and Senior Vice President and COO Bill Reeves to discuss their experience and chart the next steps in their careers.
When selecting intern candidates, we look for insurance-minded business students in their junior year of college. A potential intern needs to be resourceful, customer focused, motivated and adept at professional communications.
Society internships are paid and can be taken for class credit. We offer both full-time summer internships and part-time internships during the school year.

Environment and co-workers: It is the most welcoming and friendly environment I've ever experienced. My co-workers are very supportive. Upper management does not feel like upper management. The CEO knows almost everyone by name and could probably tell you everyone's first born child's name. He genuinely cares about you as an individual and is very supportive.
Flexibility: Society offers flexible scheduling so employees can have a life outside of work. I held a part-time job on top of my job at Society, and they made it easy to transition from one job to the next.
