SoftRock – Why Work For Us?

At SoftRock, “Whatever it Takes” is not just a tagline; it’s an attitude. Since our inception in 2005, SoftRock has never shied away from taking chances and being different.

The largest HR convention is coming to Orlando so we should throw a “Rock of Ages” party for 1,000 VIP guests with four tribute bands and have chauffeured cars, open bars, five buffets and do it all in two weeks.

Let’s adopt a local children’s home for the holiday season and give them every present they could ever want. Because, why not?

Sales support technology is antiquated, so why don’t we build something better; a platform that allows for both unparalleled customer interaction and specialists to double their income. Why don’t we build a game changer?

Let’s kick off Spring Break with a massive party and let’s get our CEO to dress up like the George Michael of Wham! and karaoke to “Wake Me Up Before You Go-Go”.

Why limit cookouts to just the 4th of July? Let’s have one every week and theme them so we can deck out the building and have employees dress up and win prizes.

What exactly does SoftRock do?
Businesses come to SoftRock when they need help in client acquisition, engagement and support. We work with the client to design and implement technology that streamlines their processes. Media, advertising and marketing are essential components of any company's business plan but this often means neglecting the meaningful personal relationships. So where most look to use technology to remove direct interaction with users, we utilize our technology to help clients establish one on one relationships that encourage customer retention and growth.

Does SoftRock provide training or career assistance?
SoftRock provides our new employees with extensive initial and continuing training to achieve greatness at their new position and to ensure that they have a high likelihood of overall success and growth within the SoftRock family.

Will I hear crickets after I apply?
We know that the most common complaint of job seekers is not hearing back from companies after they apply for a job. We make two commitments to anyone who applies for a position at SoftRock; we will make every attempt to reach you even if we can't hire you and you will always be treated with the utmost courtesy and respect. So you may hear crickets but not from us.

What should I expect on my first day at SoftRock?
Normal stuff like completing new hire paperwork, going through training docs, meeting coworkers, etc. are certainly part of a typical first day but SoftRock isn’t just a company, it’s an environment, so also expect to actually enjoy being at your new job, having fun, maybe a cookout, probably some laughs, looking forward to tomorrow and the unexpected.

What should I expect on my last day at SoftRock?
It may sound strange to start talking about an employee's last day before their first but at SoftRock we are committed to the personal and professional goals and growth of our SoftRockers. Successful employees leaving for new opportunities with other companies or to start their own business based on the knowledge and experience they’ve gained here happens and we take real pride in that.

In many ways, former employees have been at the heart of SoftRock's success. Some have come back after exploring other opportunities; some have become customers or vendors of SoftRock. In several cases, SoftRock purchased a business started by a former employee. We value our employees and their growth is a true sign of our success.

    I currently work in the advising department and I've been here going on 9 months. I love the positive work environment and how helpful my management team is. Anytime I have an issue or i'm struggling, my manager is right there to give me additional training or to motivate me.

    SoftRock is like no other company i've worked for in Florida. Every Friday we have cookouts and themes to where they encourage us to participate. We have company sports such as football, basketball and most recently video game day! So yes we work very hard, but SoftRock also has a great team building method in place.


    I really don't have any cons, if anything it would be to argue cereal preferences. (Yes we get free cereal every day)

    Advice to Management

    No advice only a suggestion-recognize employees for the day/week with a prize or incentive based on performance.

    I applied online. The process took a weekinterviewed at SoftRock.


    The interview process is 4 steps: phone, face to face, presentation, and a "test drive" of the position.

    1) The phone interview is to make sure I'm qualified for the position, and to schedule an interview.

    2) The face to face interview is pretty standard, the hiring manager goes over the resume and asks a few questions then gives a tour of the building.

    3) The third one I sat in a room with a few others and learned a little bit more about what the company has to offer. I really enjoyed this step because all my questions got answered and I really felt I had a better understanding of the position.

    4) The last interview process is really fun, you get to experience what a day in the life of a "Softrocker" would be like, and you get to enjoy their weekly cookout which happens every Friday.
