I have been working at Sorg and Associates P.C. full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

The studio is comprised of hardworking people who truly give a 110%. The effort is worth the reward, Sorg encourages growth, both professionally and personally. They are understanding, flexible, and though the work is challenging at times, Sorg tries different things throughout the year to have a little fun and encourage the staff to partake in each activity. These can be both big and small, from happy hours to Canstruction which helps keep up the positive vibes. The staff is diverse, the range of backgrounds and interests help contribute to continuing knowledge and growth of everyone.

    Cons

I think the biggest challenge is the workload, though easily overcome with the right work ethic and mindset.

    Application

I applied through an employee referral. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Sorg and Associates P.C. (Washington, DC) in March 2013.

    Interview

Initial contact person very disorganized and unprofessional. Two interviews were conducted. Second contact person much more intelligent than the first.

    Interview Questions

    • Nothing difficult or unexpected. However I was immediately informed quite adamantly that 'Sorg is not a sweatshop', a claim I later observed to be egregiously false. I have been involved in the profession for long enough to understand if an interviewer makes such a claim at the beginning of the interview, it is very unlikely to be true and a fine example of ominous foreshadowing.   Answer Question

    Negotiation

I gave them my price and they agreed.
