I worked at Spark Energy full-time (Less than a year)

It is a great environment to work in, specially if you enjoy socializing with new members of the spark energy crew. It is a highly motivated fast paced environment but still get to have fun thanks to the fun bosses that are managing the floor. All games aside, the work would be done with great customer service effort.

Due to the high amount of customers and a small group of staff, we would have to thrive to answer every call so there would be times that we would not be able to eat our lunch comfortable and it would be cut off from an hour to a half an hour but still had to eat in your desk because the 30 minutes lunch break was enough to just go get your good and management would sometimes be so swamped hey would barely help you.

    Advice to Management

Supervise the representatives that need the most help to ensure that the customer does not get the round around and thrive for first time callers resolution. Customers are what make the company possible and attention to detail must be taken into consideration once dealing with a customer.

    Customer Service Representative Interview

    Anonymous Employee in Houston, TX
    Accepted Offer
    Positive Experience
    Easy Interview

I applied in-person. The process took 5 days. I interviewed at Spark Energy (Houston, TX) in June 2014.

It was very brief, they ask you certain questions that pertain to the job and related experiences. They ask you several personal questions to get you comfortable and get rid of the nervous feeling. Once you have been interacting the real interview questions start and they want a brief description of all of your experiences that would benefit you in the office. The most important thing to remember is the willingness to learn what you do not know and be very honest. That will definitely gain trust with the employer and that lets them know what kind of person you are. Confidence is definitely one of the most important characteristics to have because that goes to show that you are capable and willing to do the job.

    Interview Questions

    • Why would you consider your self fit for the position?   1 Answer

After the interview I went home and received a call within 24 hours after the interview and was offered a position right away and started training the following Monday.
