I have been working at Sparkpr full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

The people. Spark hires smart, driven, entrepreneurial people - they are passionate about the work that they do and they care. Spark has grown over the years to a mid-size agency but it still maintains its family-style feel. Leaders take the time to recognize important personal events for staff and organize fun offsites, happy hours, etc. Professional development is also something that is highly valued at Spark. Spark has actually created a unique internal role to specifically provide mentoring, coaching and career path guidance to junior staff. Spark also offers a career development and wellness fund to staff annually to help them customize their professional development each year.

    Cons

Spark is growing quickly and still working on creating new processes and procedures to support the growth. Spark now has three offices in the US and integration across offices is important - it's something that we are working to make even better. But leadership listens - Spark recently collected company-wide feedback and created project teams to address concerns and ensure follow through, so while there are still some things to work out, it's clear that leadership is making an effort.

    Advice to Management

Keep listening, collecting feedback and showing follow through.

    Application

I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Sparkpr in May 2014.

    Interview

An initial phone screen with the HR Manager and then a follow up in-person interview with the performance manager, a few additional Sparksters, and then a wrap-up with the HR Manager.

    Interview Questions

    • Pretty standard questions. They asked for specific examples.   Answer Question
