    - Peers and the direct managers are really nice people. Always willing to help. - Will get a chance to work on the latest technologies and some really smart engineers in the field of telecommunications - Really good vacation & other benefits (health 401k etc) plus good work/life balance Over all, a fun working environment. Sometimes, things get hectic depending on what project you're in, but it is still manageable.

    - Things are not how they once were. Few years ago, Spirent was one of the best companies in telecom to work for. Perfectly stable! But,slowly there has been a decline. - Lot of good people are leaving (or being let go) from the company, so the morale is a little down. So, there is always a little fear of hearing bad news (some departments, not all of them). - Very little growth from a career & financial perspective. Overall, it is a good company to gain knowledge and work on the latest cutting edge technologies in telecommunication. However, at the moment, for someone who is looking for a long term growing career, Spirent may not be the right place. But, if Spirent can make a comeback soon, this perspective could change.

    Advice to Management

Spirent needs a comeback! Employees working here should feel that this should be a place to stay for a longer term as opposed to constantly looking over their shoulders.

I applied online. The process took 2 weeksinterviewed at Spirent Communications.

Initial interview with hiring manager. Then 4 one-hour mixed phone & online skype interviews in the same day. Some with video & screensharing. They were a little disorganized, but overall professional

    • Write an XML parser to parse a certain type of XML where tags are redundant. There were other questions about DB designs deadlocking and some RTOS-related questions - even though this job was not an embedded SW position.   1 Answer
