I have been working at St. John & Partners full-time (more than 10 years)

    Pros

St. John & Partners is a small agency that grew into a medium- to large-size agency that has retained its independence because it has a culture of collaboration. They hire smart people who aren't satisfied with good ideas - they want to make them great.

    Cons

Relatively low pay in comparison to other, smaller agencies - primarily because SJ&P is the region's largest agency with some of the best clients. Unfortunately, some talent leaves because of the pay and lack of career growth.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

The recession is over - you're going to have to pay whatever the market will bear to retain talent. Otherwise, you will have a massive brain drain, impacting servicing clients.
