I have been working at St. John's University full-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

Many nice and devoted faculty and students who take the University Mission seriously, There is a good work-life balance, a stable work environment, and generous time-off policies.

    Cons

The compensation is so-so, and has not risen more than 1 or 2 percent since 2008. Some aspects are very hierarchical. The University is slow to adapt to some of the changes in the higher academic environment.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

St. John's needs strong leadership and fresh ideas
